“Air transport is an extremely important industry, highly regulated, complex and multi-faceted, with many players working to achieve the highest levels of safety and efficiency.”
hus the Director General of ENAC Alessio Quaranta, in his capacity as President of EATEO (European Association of Aviation Training and Educational Organizations), a European association that brings together organizations that deal with aeronautical education and training, opened the work at the international forum “Improve security through effective training and education” hosted by Eurocontrol in the Brussels office.
“For this reason, more than in any other industrial sector, there is a need for coordination and cooperation that must act in more areas: national, regional and interregional”, recalled Quaranta.
Hence the need for the various protagonists of the aviation system to “collectively organize themselves at the level of the Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO), air navigation service providers (CANSO – Civil Air Navigation Services Organization), airline companies (IATA – International Air Transport Association) and airports (ACI – Airport Council International) “.
The event was organized by EATEO in cooperation with ICAO EUR / NAT, the regional office for Europe and the North Atlantic of the International Civil Aviation Organization and focused on the need to guarantee the formation of qualified and competent aeronautical personnel, strengthening the collaboration and coordination of all the protagonists of the civil aviation system.
